Randolph (Randy) E. Whitmire  brings more than 30 years of combined business and federal labor law enforcement experience to his clients.  Prior to his federal service, Mr. Whitmire founded and operated several successful business enterprises in New Mexico, Wyoming and Michigan. He is highly experienced in meeting payrolls, supervising and managing employees, compensation, performance appraisal process and growing those companies to profitability over many years.  Consequently, Mr. Whitmire was invited to join the US Department of Labor’s North Carolina District Office (NCDO) working as Federal Investigator first in the agency’s Greensboro, NC Field Office.  He conducted numerous and  diverse case investigations  focusing on FLSA, MSPA, DBRA, SCA,  Special Minimum Wage, H-2A and Child Labor enforcement.  Mr. Whitmire was also the only “bi-lingual” (Spanish) investigator  in his Field Office assisting other investigators on specific cases where Spanish language skills were required.  Mr. Whitmire also played an instrumental role as a member of several regional task force enforcement teams established to investigate specific industries throughout North Carolina.

He was transferred to the Grand Rapids District Office (GRDO) in 2012 as the Senior Investigator-in-Charge of the Traverse City Field Office. where he continued to successfully conduct a wide variety of  case investigations focusing on FLSA, FLSA Section 214(c) Special Minimum Wage, Davis-Bacon and Related Acts (DBRA, McNamara-O’Hara Service Contracts Act (SCA), Child Labor and various non-immigrant visa programs such as:  H-2A and H-2B  throughout the northern half of Michigan including all of the Upper Peninsula. He was known for his innate skill in quickly establishing effective working relationships with employers and employees alike while conducting objective investigations to  determine compliance.  He graduated Magna Cum Laude from  Park University Kansas City, MO with a B.S. degree in Management—Human Resources.   He retired from federal service on October 1, 2015. He currently resides with his wife in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
